006 LITTLE PEOPLE | HOME

Home, on a deeper level, is more than just a physical space—it is a foundation of identity, a place where relationships are built, a source of belonging and familiarity, and a canvas for personal growth. It holds a special place in our nostalgic memories, becoming an inseparable part of who we are.

In the reality of everyday life, home can also be shaped by unanticipated and often unavoidable elements.
Little People is a deeply personal book dedicated to one such overlooked yet familiar fragment of home: insects. Insects, though often viewed as unwanted intruders, play a surprisingly significant role in the dynamic of a household. Whether regarded with disdain or fascination, they evoke strong emotions and can influence one’s sense of connection to their environment.

SPREAD LAYOUT

Little People is divided into three categories of insects most commonly found in homes: ants, flies, and centipedes. Each section provides a brief overview of their purpose in domestic spaces and reflects on the emotions they evoke in me.

All illustrations in Little People were hand-drawn to emphasize a personal connection to the concept of how insects contribute to my home environment. The book integrates these illustrations with integrative aesthetics and narrative, transforming it into a publication design piece rooted in personal reflection.
